Escape EP

A 5 track funk ep (27m 10s) — released April 2nd 2007 on Record Kicks

UNITY is a brand new broken soul project led by production duo Mike Adlington (Adders) and Chris Mapp (Sugar Beats). For their new club project's debut EP "Escape", UNITY are accompany by sensational nu jazz bright star Lizzy Parks on vocals and talented young jazzman Leo Altarelli on horns. The Ep also features 3 fantastic reworks. On the first one Tru Thoughts new hero DIESLER shows once again his magic touch with a deep funk rmx of Escape that will blow every dancefloor. Fresh Gilles Peterson BBC award winner Nostalgia 77 turns "Don’t wanna change" into a less jazzy more drum-heavy funky groove. Last but not least UNIQUE Record new talent AIFF from Germany sends us back to the Africa 70 sound with a brilliant afrobeat version of "Don’t wanna change". With a band of celebrity fans already featuring Norman Jay, Gilles Peterson and Henry Storch you can’t go wrong- this is a massively groovy little 12" that you can’t miss!

UNITY! is a big Twelve!!!! Broken Afro Soul New Beats Modern its working massive on the floors between different styles. - Henr Storch Unique

Loving the afrobeat flavour on the AIFF mix, and, of course, the heavy drums and deep jazz bizniz on the Nostalgia 77 remix. Quality! - Dom Servini Wah Wah
