Premier Dutch soul band The Tibbs announces "Ain't It Funny", the first single taken from their upcoming new album Keep It To Yourself.

Record Kicks proudly presents "Ain't It Funny", the first single taken from Dutch vintage soul combo The Tibbs' upcoming new album Keep It To Yourself. The new single is an up-tempo stomper to be released on November 29th on digital platforms, while the new album will hit the streets on January 26th on LP, CD and digital format. According to the band "Ain't It Funny" is "about a feeling of powerlessness. Some of the world's problems – think of global warming, climate change, racism – seem too big to be tackled by yourself, and that can make you feel small. Do the things we do in our daily life really have an impact on the bigger picture?"

Produced by Paul Willemsen (Lefties Soul Connection, Michelle David & The Gospel Sessions), the new album Keep It to Yourself is the third Long Play from The Tibbs. It contains 13 fresh 'n vibrant tracks that will take you back to the golden days of soul music, while undoubtedly maintaining a fresh and contemporary feel.

Based around Amsterdam, The Tibbs took off in 2012 working right from the start with producer Paul Willemsen (Beans & Fatback, Lefties Soul Connection, Michelle David & The Gospel Sessions). In 2016, their first LP Takin' Over marked their debut with Milan-based imprint Record Kicks. The release of Takin' Over delivered the band rich rewards, like playing sold-out shows and wonderful festivals across Europe. In late 2018, singer Elsa decided to focus on a solo career and The Tibbs duly began their search for a truly worthy successor, bringing astonishing vocalist Roxanne Hartog and the band together for the first time with their sophomore album Another Shot Fired, released in November 2020. Now, with new recordings in the bag and an astounding third album ready to be released, The Tibbs are once more ready for lift off.
