Dear soul & deep funk lovers here we are with a new volume of SoulShaker compilation dedicated to the best deep funk, soul & rare groove contemporary scene. Since, as you know, we're vinyl addicted this time we prepared a little hors d'oeuvre for you made up of a 45 with 2 band from the compilation. On the A side you'll find the great Poets Of rhythm probably the best deep/raw funk band of our time. Coming out from Germany these guys have released records for the well known Ninja Tune and Daptone Record labels. 'Practice what you preach ' has never appeared on 45 format and is taken from their debut album just re-released to the joy of all of you by New York's Daptone Records. On the B side from Barcelona we have the crazy hard funk party band Phat Fred. The latest Wilkinson/St. Charles collaboration this time with the funkiest bass player and the hardest working organist this side of the other side. 'Stay on the groove ' is taken from their debut album Phat Fred which is just about to be released by the US Hammondbeat records. 'Stay on the groove' is party funk.. putting the funk in party, the party in funk.. exclusively for funky people who like to party and for party people who need to funky!' Do you need more?'
